Thanksgiving 2011

Okay so this first pic isn't from Thanksgiving but it is from Crew's final football game. He started out playing in the smart start level where they just work on the basic skills of the game. He was a little more advanced than most of the kids so he was moved up to play with the kindergartners. Things were a little confusing at first since he hadn't played in an actual game and he just got thrown into a league where they spent most of the time playing. He caught on quickly and even scored a touchdown (even if he was going in the wrong direction) and loved to be able to pull the other guys flags. He was so excited to get his first trophy He took it with him everywhere the next few days and showed it to anyone who would come over. We are so proud of him and his dad definitely had a proud dad moment when they moved him up with the older kids.

Okay.... enough of that now on to Thanksgiving...

We spent Thanksgiving with my family (the Eldredge side). We got to stay for almost a week and loved every minute of it!
We played front yard volleyball, met my little sisters boyfriends, played games, played in the turkey bowl, lost miserably at minute to win date night, went shopping all night, went and played at Trafalga, played in the leaves with cousins. All that fun stuff and these were the only pictures we managed to get.

This last pic is not from thanksgiving but Crew wanted it on here. I found these sweet boots at D.I. for 3 buckaroni's. I love that place!

Here we go... so after nearly 3 years of trying, medication, surgery, artificial insemination, ect. ect. ect. we have decided to put all our focus on adoption. We are SO excited. we are just in the beginning stages and it will still be about 3 months before we are totally approved and our profile will be able to be viewed by birth mothers.

We are going through LDS family services so if you know of anyone who is thinking of placing their baby up for adoption please let them know about us, we will love you forever! Once we get approved we will have a link on the side of our blog to go straight to our profile. We can hardly wait to be able to grow our family and give Crew the blessing of a sibling and all that comes with that.

okay ...I am so far behind I could never catch up so this picture overview will have to do. These are in no particular order. hopefully I can narrate some of the pictures.

March 17th Crew turned 4 years old! we had a Despicable Me party. My Mom, Dad and brother Ben came down for Crews b-day and for Ben's baseball tournament. My mom made the cutest pin the eyeball on the minion game but of course we didnt get a pitcure of the kids playing it.

We went to the Art Festival later that day, Crew wasn't to fond of it except for the kids area. He was nervous to get his face painted at first so we made a few crafts then walked around and looked at all the art, got a snowcone and on the way back to the car He decided to get his face painted. he wouldnt tell the girl what he wanted and wouldnt even look her in the eye. After though he thought it was the coolest thing ever.

We went to Vegas in March. We stayed at The Stratoshpere, went to The M&M factory, Bellagio Gardens, took crew down the Strip to see the lights (while trying to keep his eyes from the nasty billboards and advertising) shopping and dinner just a relaxing overnighter as a family.

Falling asleep at the table, he has gone on strike when it comes to taking naps lately so by dinner time he is usually exhausted.

Crew played Smart Start Soccer, He really seemed to enjoy it and is getting pretty good at his soccer skills.

May 4th : Waiting in the E.R. for his very first( and most likely not last) set of stitches. We were at town square where there is a little river for the kids to play and splash around. He tripped and went face first into a large rock. He took a nice chunk out of his bottom lip that required 3 stitches. he was so good for the doc and didn't even flinch when he gave him the shot in his lip to numb it.

We spent a few hours watching the Iron Man here in town. We were right there at the finish line when the first place guy crossed the finish line. of course we forgot to take pics of him coming in, but i did get one of the second guy. i will have to get it off my phone and put it up later.

our ward did an adults "minute to win it" night . it was so fun! not to many pics but i will have to put up the video of Rachelle and I doing the ping pong tissue box game. She got it in like 4 sec. I'm pretty sure her box was rigged!

We went and walked along the river by our house. This is where the trail fell into the water during the flood this winter. Okay that is all for now I will try to put some Christmas up soon (yes I know it is july... don't judge). We put all our pictures on an external hard drive before I got around to posting them. So I will try but I promise nothing!

The Best 6 Years of my life

We Celebrated our 6th Anniversary on the 17th. So we set out for a little getaway in Sunny Las Vegas, only it was not so sunny, it was rainy, wet and kind of cold. Still lots of fun though. We stopped in Mesquite to have sushi for lunch, so tasty. We stayed at The Luxor, went ~~shopping~~ I mean window shopping at the Fashion Show mall. Walked up and down Fremont street, had our "anniversary dinner" at Mc Donald's afraid we wouldn't make it in time to the Gordie Brown show at the Golden Nugget, thanks Travis and Erin for the tix, which was hilarious by the way, and probably one of the cleanest shows language wise as you can get in Vegas. We made up for dinner the next day at The Cheesecake Factory for lunch walked the forum shops at Caesar's Palace, saw the Gardens at the Bellagio, then we walked down the strip to the biggest Ross I have ever seen. It was amazing! I will defiantly be going back, but maybe next time with a bunch of girls, Cody wasn't as excited as I was about it. It was a great weekend and nice to spend a couple days with my man! love you babe!

HAHA He has been having some problems with a little boy in his nursery class hitting, and before school he was worried that the boy would be in his class, I told him he wouldn't be and he was happy to hear that.

Two Years...

We have now hit our two year mark of infertility. We are so thankful that we have our beautiful son Crew and have been so blessed to have him in our family. We also know that two years may seem like nothing to those who have suffered much longer and have no children, and my heart hurts for those that struggle with infertility. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but still it doesn't make us want another child any less.

We are still trying and doing all that we can to make it a possiblity, while things are not getting any better ( in fact my tennis ball is now a softball) but we KNOW that we will have more children, and that it is all on the Lord's time table, but we also know that we have to do all we can to help bring it about.

I know that the Lord will not give us any trials that we cannot overcome, but we know we have to lean on him and let him strengthen us and bring us comfort and peace.

Cysts=progress?

So yesterday I had my annual visit to the "Lady Doctor", after doing the exam and adding in all of my problems with getting pregnant he decided to do an ultrasound thinking he could feel a cyst. So I waited another 10-15 minutes in the cold doctors office an then they moved me to the ultrasound room. He did and internal ultrasound and found what he suspected...CYSTS! My right ovary has two smaller cysts and on my left one that is 5.5 cm that is about as big as a ........ TENNIS BALL!!!!!

I couldn't believe it... Ironically I have been taking Clomid to help get pregnant but one of the side effects of it is Cysts, so we have stopped Clomid and are going to see if they go down on their own. He said he has seen many women still get pregnant when they have cysts. So if I test positive for ovulation this month we will still go ahead withe the Artificial like we originally planned. If i don't end up pregnant and the cysts don't go down then we will move on to a Laparoscopy, to get a better look and possibly drain the cysts if possible. The plus side to that is they can also look for endometriosis while they are in there and because they went in to deal with cysts my insurance should pay for it! Two bird with one stone, and we wont have to pay, SCORE!

Anyway so while Cysts aren't what we wanted at least now it feels like we are actually moving on. For the last 7 or so months it has just been the same story, keep on the clomid to get me ovulating regularly, and then just wait and see. At the very least we will get to figure out if I have endometriosis, a little blessing in disguise.

Hopefully we will be able to get through all of this "progress" so that we can have another one of these...

We had such a great time. It was Crew's first time to California and he loved it. He still talks about the beach and every time we get into the car he asks if we are going to California. We went down with Cody's Mom, his sister Mickelle and her three kids, Marley, Jack, and Calliope. Jack and Crew are only 9 months apart and are the best of friends and the worst of enemies.

We got lucky with lines for the most part, it seemed like everyone got in line just after us. The longest line we waited in with kids was 40 minutes for finding nemo. We hit a good amount of rides considering all the kids. We got the park hopper and we weren't to impressed for the little ones. They loved Lighting and some of the bugs life stuff was cute but i think it is more for older kids. Of course the line to the toy story ride there was an hour. We didn't think that the kids would last so we headed back to Disneyland. Around 9 Grandma took the three little ones back to the hotel and Cody, Mickelle, Marley and I stayed and hit thunder mountain and space mountain, which was an hour long line. good thing i love that ride.

The next day Grandma, Mickelle and her kids headed home, and we headed to the beach!! I love the Beach. I love the sound of the waves the sun, the water the sand everything about it. I could definitely be a California girl. If it weren't so dang expensive. It was a Great week and very hard to go back to real life after a week of vacation. WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!

So some of you may know that we have been trying for our 2nd Child for quite a while now. We have been seeing the doctor every 6 weeks or so since November, once we hit our year mark of trying. Mostly just to keep tabs on my cycles and see if the medication is working. I have had lots of talks with my mom who knows exactly what I am going through and she has helped me gain a good perspective on this trial that we are facing.
I was sitting in the waiting room today to see the doctor for my check-up and I was playing a game on phone, at the bottom of the screen it has ads scrolling across the bottom. The ad that was displayed at the bottom of my screen said..."God loves you, and has a plan for you." It never changed, it stayed at the bottom the entire time I waited, and we all know how long you have to wait for a doctor. Anyway I have always known that there is a plan laid out, not only me but for my future children and our family. But it gave me a great peace to just see that little quote in the most unusual of places.

We were lucky to have Crew sleep in a little bit on Easter morning it was so nice. I woke up before him and couldn't get back to sleep since i was so excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought.

We went to a hunt on Saturday morning where they basically just throw candy and plastic eggs on the open grass and let the kids go at it. Later that afternoon The Fonnesbeck's had a family Easter party, I was bummed I had to work during it but Crew sure had a blast. They had another mad dash for candy, and there is no doubt that Crew got more candy this weekend than at Halloween. Almost all of the Fonnesbeck Grand kids were able to be there. We sure missed the Williams' in South Carolina.

We spent most of Easter Sunday in out jammies and watched conference. It was a nice relaxing day spent with my little family, just what we needed. hope your Easter was a good as ours.

We had two parties for Crew this year since our clubhouse was reserved on His birthday {no one ever uses it and on the day I need it of course someone else is} and We don't have enough room in our house for the whole family. so on the Monday before We had a party at the Fonnesbeck's

Then on His birthday We had a party at Our house with my Family. My little brother Ben had a baseball tournament that weekend so it worked out perfect. {We missed the aunt, uncles, and cousins that couldn't make it}

Today is my little leprechaun's birthday! I can't believe how big he is getting, I love having little conversations with him and seeing him learn everyday. He is so smart and has a memory like no other. We are having a robot party tonight with Family once Grandma and Grandpa Eldredge, and his aunts and uncles get here. Crew is so excited that they are able to be here for his party. When I told him last night that they were coming for his party he said "Yea! I love those Guys." I will post pictures from his party later in the week. And I hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day too.

I finished this a while ago but just got the pictures off the camera. I wanted to redo Crews room for a while. He was still using his baby room decorations and I thought it was time to give it a new look.

{I also was hoping maybe if I put away all the baby stuff then I will finally get pregnant and have to use it on the new baby.}

I made his curtains out of a shower curtain and then had to sew that blue piece on the bottom since it was to short. I am not a seamstress in any way

{even though my mom taught sewing lessons and i took a few years of it myself}

so I am pretty pleased with how they turned out

{even if i got frustrated more than once. and i wasted a whole lot of thread.}

I also made that blue pillow cover to go over an old red throw pillow we had.

Yesterday while eating lunch Crew kept standing up on his stool and this is the conversation that followed~

Me: Crew you can't do that because you could fall off and get hurt
Crew: yeah mom I can't do that, and I can't call you a Fricker either.
Me: Right you don't say that word

He had called me a Fricker the other day and I made sure to tell him we don't say that word and not to call people names because it hurts their feelings. I guess he is learning.

Outside of my parents house be fore we left to so sledding. Crew loved it he was a total dare devil. he wanted to go down the big hill all by himself. He was such a trooper he hiked back up the hill no problem. I didn't get any pictures of us sledding but my Dad did I will see if I can get some from him. We had a great time at my parents house we were there from Christmas day until the sat after New Years. It was great we partied nearly everyday with family Christmas parties and Ben's 13th Birthday and New Years.

It is official our little Crew is now a BIG BOY! He is doing a pretty good job with it he has only had one pee accident in his underwear, we are still working on going #2 in the potty but he will get there. He gets so excited every time he goes potty! we do the potty dance, and sing "went pee-pee in the potty!" and he gets to put money in his piggy bank. How cute is he?!

{now if only they made the undies a little smaller like just a 2T not a 2-3T}

they sag a little bit and we have to roll the waist band over. He loves his Lighting McQueen and Buzz Lightyear ones.

Aunt Mindy and Grandma did a great job with the party this year. Mindy made spooky snacks like mummy dogs, bones and blood, and cheese fingers. They played games and decorated our haunted houses.

Then on Halloween night we went to the Washington City Trunk-or-treat,with our best buddies the Mortensen's, which was a complete bummer {not the Morty's the trunk-or-treat}. I could not believe the amount of moochers that showed up... So the point of a trunk-or-treat is, you had out candy from your trunk and then you go to the other trunks and get candy right, well we got there about 10 min before it was supposed to start and there were only about 3 other cars that were set up to give out candy. We got all set up and people started showing up, not to give out candy but to get candy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, only 5 cars actually showed up to give candy and about 2000 people showed up expecting candy, then they had the gall to get mad at us when we said we were out of candy. We were so bugged so we packed the kids up in the cars and headed out to find a neighborhood to go door to door in.

One year ago today we closed on our house. We can not believe how fast this year has gone by. it still feels so new, we are so thankful to have a home. We are loving it here and love the neighborhood and our ward. So of course we went out to celebrate our "ANNIVERSARY" at cold stone. we will take any excuse to "CELEBRATE"!

Also Crew turned 2 1/2 today! YEAH!

Now if we could only get him to go on the potty! He is getting so big and he is so smart! We started a mommy and me class this month and he loves it, he tries to learn the songs, hand motions and dance moves. He loves to ask questions like, "where did that come from?", "what comes next?", and "what are you doing?". He also likes to tell anyone and everybody "My mom's Annie" or "my Dad's Cody" He also tells me all day "my dad's Cody, at work, his school, football work." He is constantly talking, sometimes he will say the same word or phrase over and over again, we have to tell him "crew, say something else now" he sounds like a broken record. We love our little chatterbox.

Last week Crew was in my room watching a cartoon while I was getting ready for the day. When I was getting dressed He walked over to me and this is the conversation that took place.
Crew:"what's that for?" {pointing to my chest}
Me: {thinking} "okay do I tell him it's nothing or tell him the truth" (I decided to just tell him what they are and what they do.) I said,"well they are called Breast and only girls have them, and when they are mommies they have milk in them to feed the baby."
Crew: "can i try them?"
Me: "no you can't and shouldn't touch any until you are married."

That was the end of that conversation, but fast forward to yesterday, Crew and I are in Costco and trying out all of the samples. He calls it "Costco Day!" One of the samples was cereal, with out the milk. I handed it to crew and said...
Me: "try this Crew it is Cereal, but with no milk in it."
Crew: {pointing at my chest} "get some milk there?"
Me: {laughing} "no Crew there is not any milk in there, and it is only for babies."

He Cracks me up most of the day and amazes me with the things he remembers.

We went swimming at the Washington City pool last week and Crew wanted to wear a life jacket. He was walking around in the pool and started heading towards the rope that divides the shallow end from the deep end. He can actually touch all the way to the rope but, with the life jacket on he was a little more buoyant than he usually is. I stood back and watched to see what he would do as he bobbed around in the water. He made it to the rope but eventually he couldn't keep his feet under him any longer, and he started to float on his back and had a look of concern on his face. I walk over to help him and I notice he has both his arms and legs wrapped around the rope holding on for dear life. He looks up at me and says "I in Trouble, trouble!" So stinking funny. I laughed so hard!
I love it when he uses words that i didn't even know he knew, and to use them correctly.
{maybe you had to be there but I still laugh when I think of it.}

Okay so I know the 4th of July was forever ago but I just downloaded our pictures from our trip to California. Cody and I went on a little Vacay (that's right I said Cody and I, no Crewster) over the holiday weekend. It was so nice to relax and just be with each other.
Then first night we got there around dinner time so we went to dinner and a movie. We went to Knott's Berry Farm the next day. It was hot but not as hot as St. George. On the 3rd we went to Huntington Beach, then to the Angels game. sadly they lost but we were very entertained by the "fist-knocker" sitting next to me. She was totally trashed. Then they had fireworks after the game. For the fourth of July we Lunch at Mimi's Cafe then went back to the hotel to relax a bit before going to join in the festivities. They weather had been colder than we thought it would be and even colder down on the beach, So we didn't spend much time in the water but we did go back down to Huntington to see all they had to offer. We walked up and down the shops and watched the street performers for oh 5 hours. We should have planned a little better or at least worn jeans. we shivered and tried to stay out of the wind until the fireworks started. We loved being at the beach for the show but it was a little chilly. The next day we had breakfast and headed back home. It went by way to fast and we are ready to go back.

We are officially Binky free at the Fonnesbeck house! We have been putting off taking it away because he was so attached to it and I wanted to make sure he understood what was going on so it wouldn't be so tragic. We took it away Easter Sunday when the Easter bunny brought Crew a New Friend: Moose. I started telling him the Friday before that his Binky was starting to break and when it did we would have to put it in the Garbage. So on Sunday after his nap before we went to our Family Easter dinner I cut the end off his Binky. I showed it to him and said, "look buddy it is broken." He looked it over tried sucking on it, and said, "ah, broken." I told him since it was broken it needed to be put in the garbage. He took it and threw it out. The rest of the day he kept saying "ah, Binky broken, garbage." We just kept saying "yep broken" he slept just fine that night with little fuss and his nap the next day at grandpa's was no problem. Monday night however was not fun we were up most of the night, but things have gotten much better since then. He has missed a nap or two but not much waking up at night. I have been waiting to post this because I didn't want to jinx myself.

Next step: potty training and a big boy bed. but i figure as long as he isn't climbing out of his crib or we don't need it he can stay behind bars.

We are so proud of our "almost" big boy!

The reason for the title has 2 things. 1. He was born on St. Patricks Day 2. He got to have 2 birthday parties this year!!!! Lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This past weekend we were up North for Steph's wedding and had a great time. While we were there we had a party for Crew with Annie's family. It went great. Since Crew is OBSESSED with Lighting McQueen Annie made him a Lighting McQueen birthday cake. The party was great and Crew loved the cake and all of his presents. We also had a party for him in St. George at the park in our neighborhood. Family and friends came and it was a blast. He loved all the presents and is having fun with all of them. We all had fun and I can't believe the Crewster is already 2 years old!!!!!!!!!!

Just a Few Pictures from the last week... it was beautiful here in st. George and Crew and I went to the park with my sis and her kids while they were in town. i didn;t manage to get any pictures of her kidos though.

Also i wanted to give a shout out to my littlest Brother Ben and his city basketball team! They took second place. It was agreat game and i am glad i was able to see him play!

It's official, We are now proud owners of our very own Wii! Thanks to our tax return and the nice stimulus package we got for buying a home this year. Cody really wants a nice big flat screen TV to go with it but I think we will wait until we can find an amazing deal, seeing that we have two perfectly, good working TV sets already.It is a bit of a sung fit in our tiny front room, and a flat screen on the wall would keep us from the possibility of throwing a fist through the TV. I guess we will just have to be a little less aggressive. We are loving it already. I am sure we will be up playing it way past bedtime. Well I am off to kick Cody's Trash in bowling night!

Oh and p.s. if anyone has a spare flat screen TV in great working condition, that we take take off your hands, we would be glad to do so!haha

So this year we decided to get the Dixie Direct card, a coupon card good at numerous shopping, dinning, entertainment and sporting establishments. We got a good deal from a friend of a friend and paid only 25 dollars, regularly they are 35 dollars. Lets just say we have already gotten our moneys(monies,how would you say that?)worth. Tonight we went out to dinner to a pizza place called 2 Fat Guys pizza. We got a large one topping pizza, 2 bread sticks, and one large drink all for the grand total of ...DRUM ROLL PLEASE...$3.70! Just call me betty save a buck. The coupon was good for one large pizza! Life doesn't get any better than that! Oh the places we will be eating for half the price, we love you Dixie Direct. If you don't have one and live here in southern Utah I highly recommend picking one of these little gems up!

So Cody and I were called as Sunbeam teachers back in December, but they didn't need us until January. But because we were up north with my family for the first Sunday of the year and the next week we had stake conference, today was our first week teaching. We had a few criers, one that wouldn't sit in his seat and hit the other kids, one that actually fell through the back of his chair and luckily a couple that actually sat there with their arms folded through the lesson and answered questions. I was amazed by those two.

Then we looked and the clock after I was finished with the lesson and still had 30 minutes to kill...AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! With only a small piece of paper that they were to write CTR on I was a little worried about how we would fill all that time but with Crayons and a few blank pieces of paper we survived.

Next Week it is Cody's turn to teach hahaha good luck babe! Just kidding He will be great. I think that once the kids get use to us and we figure out some things to hold their attention we will really enjoy our class, and to be honest by the sounds of it we had the calm and quiet class. It sounded like they were playing a game of tackle football in the other sunbeam class.

We also had church at 9:00 and it was wonderful! Crew was as happy as a clam, having had breakfast and wouldn't be in need of a nap until we got home. We got home and all had lunch and a wonderful nap I love 9:00 church!

So last night was our anniversary but Cody had his semifinals for flag football so we are going to celebrate on Friday. Anyway that is beside the point, we went to Cody's game which unfortunately they lost, but it was snowing pretty hard and I was kind of glad they lost so we didn't have to sit through another game. Well I never thought it would keep snowing through the night, but it did! When I got Crew out of bed this morning and looked outside I couldn't believe my eyes! This is what we woke up to.

4 Years of Wedded bliss

Four years ago today I married my Best friend, in the Saint George Utah Temple. I forgot his ring at the hotel but after a few phone calls my maid of honor came to the rescue, and all went smoothly after that. It was a beautiful day in Saint George and we were lucky to be surrounded by friends and family. I am so lucky to have Cody for a husband, friend, father of my child and my eternal companion. I am so thankful for the wonderful man that he is and all that he does for me and our family. He has such a big heart and is a friend to all he comes in contact with. I love his hard working attitude, but he knows his priorities and always spends lots of time with us. Thank you Cody for truly the best 4 years of my life i am so glad we have eternity to spend together!

4 Months Holy Cow!

Yesterday I was putting Crew in the car in the parking lot of Robert's Craft ( yes mom I even went there of my own free will) and the woman parked next to us asked how old Crew was. I stopped to think about it then said well he is actually 20 months today!(My mom's birthday to Happy Birthday to you) After getting in the car I was thinking no way he is 20 months that means only 4 months 'til he turns 2! After doing the math in my head a few times, it is true HOLY COW I can't believe it! He is getting to big! He is starting to repeat things Cody or I say, and sort of remembers to say "please" and "thanks" .
The other day while driving there was a near accident right in front of us and I said "holy cow" and then I hear a little "hoooee cow" coming from the back seat. So cute. We love you Crew thanks for the best 20 months of our lives!

Well Halloween 2008 was a great success!!! We all had a good time. It's times like these that make me glad that we moved back to St. George. We started off this last week with a Halloween party at my parents house with my siblings and their kids. It was a hit!!! All the kids loved it, especially all the games and decorating they got to do. Some of the pictures are from the party

Then last night on Halloween we took the Crewster, whose costume this year was Donald Duck, out trick or treating in our neighborhood. Brady and Emily came over and brought JC and they went with us. We had a good time going to the houses in our neighborhood. We came back to the house and my parents came over and we all sat around and talked and had a good time. Brady was the door greeter and he made sure he asked every kid at the door what they were for halloween. He was giving us a great play by play of all the trick or treaters.

After all this we went over to Greg and Milea's house and hung out with our friends Taylor and Jana as well as Clint and Amy. We had a good time eating candy and shooting the bull. It was fun. Clint was keeping us entertained with his jokes. We spent some of the time watching GhostHunters on the SciFi Channel, but mostly we were just making fun of the people on the show.

So i am a little behind but my camera was dead and I couldn't find the charger. But better late than never. We bought our first home last month and we are loving it! Thanks to my mom and sister Sarah for coming down and helping me paint and decorate the lower level. Just thought I would give a quick update on Crew. He is 17 months now and smarter than ever. He loves to play pat-a-cake, his favorite part is marking it with a "C", He loves to go to the pool and go down the slides. He is practically a fish, no fear of the water. He loves to play outside even if it is 110 degrees outside. He loves it when his cousins come over and has someone to play with on his level. He loves to "help" around the house, he likes to iron ,with his own little iron, help sort the laundry and even "hold" the dustpan. He follows Grandpa around like a little duck most days, they are great friends. We only have one more month before he goes to nursery and we can hardly wait, he has so much energy that church is just plain hard work. Luckily Cody's parents can take him home with them after our sacrament so we can enjoy the rest of our classes. I am excited for him to be able to have those kids to play with. He even knows how to fold his arms and does it for most of the prayer. He is learning new words each day.

Lighten or Darken?

I can't decide if I want to go blonde or back to dark mahogany brown. The last time I was blonde-ish was 4 years ago when I met Cody. I dyed my hair dark just before we got married, my hair is in desperate need of a "do" and I am not sure. Dark is definitely easier I can color it by my self which means it only costs the price of a box of color, Blonde will need a touch up every couple of months and I will need to get it done professionally because I did my own blonde in high school and that was just tragic. We won't be doing that again. So tell me what you think I won't be offended if you think I would look bad with these colors. Also my hair is longer than in this pic of me and I am going to keep growing it out, if that makes a difference.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY! Today is Cody's 27th birthday and I just want him to know how much I love him. he is such a wonderful, amazing husband and the best father in the world. He is so happy to come home and see Crew and you can just see his face light up when he walks in the room. He works so hard to support us and does his best to give me everything I could want or need. He is so caring and is always thinking of others, he loves his entire family so much and would do anything for them, He had to work today but I am so glad that we got to have the long weekend to celebrate and spend time together! Happy 4th of July

For the Fourth of July we had a nice relaxing day. Cody went to breakfast with his Dad, brother and sister. Then Cody and I went for a little drive to look at some houses. Crew played in the pool, he thinks he is fish. He loves to dunk his head in the water. We went to see Kung Fu Panda, with Greg and Milea Hunt it was a pretty cute movie. That night we took Grandpa Dusty out to dinner at the Pasta Factory. Then Grandpa Dusty stayed home with Crew once he went to bed and Cody and I went out to the Country Showdown at the Sun Bowl, it was so stinking HOT! Brady, Emily, and JC came over and watched with us for a little bit before going to get ready for bed, before the fireworks started. Cody and I stayed and watched the fireworks from the stadium and they were great. They shot some off from the stadium and some from off the red hills. It was so cool, they alternated between the two and had music set to it. It was so loud and the cannons shock your insides. Just the way I like my fireworks.
The next day we got up and went swimming at Entrada with my friend Amylyn, from back home in P.G., they were staying another friends vacay home and so it was nice to get to see here and her Husband, Andy. Thanks guys it was a blast. That night Cody, Greg, Milea, and I all went to Samurai 21 for Cody's Birthday dinner for sushi, then we watched Definitely, Maybe at their house. Thanks again Grandpa Dusty for watching Crew for us. I was such a great weekend.

The big 23!

So Sunday was my birthday and to celebrate Cody took me to Las Vegas. We drove down and made our first stop at Travis and Erin's house to see there new beautiful baby girl Brynlee Grace she was born on the 17th. I was so excited to get to meet her and hold her while she was still so tiny. We then went to lunch at the Cheesecake factory with them.
After lunch we went and did a little shopping at some of the outlets, it was SO----- freaking HOT! Then we headed to the strip to go see the Atrium at The Bellagio, we also went to a few more stores, the New York New York, and Paris. We had dinner at a little burger restaurant at the Paris hotel. We also stopped to watch the fountains at the Bellagio. Then we headed on home on our way as we were getting to valley of fire the Reservation was having a Firework show and I was so excited! I LOVE FIREWORKS! We got to see most of the show as we drove past I could even see it in my mirror once they were behind us. It felt like they were doing it just for me on my birthday! It was such a great day.
On Sunday we went to Church then just had a lazy day and relaxed. Cody made me a yummy spaghetti dinner, then we headed to our friends the Hunts to play games. It was a perfect birthday I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks for the great birthday Cody and a big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Fonnesbeck for watching Crew for us to be able to spend the day just the two of us.

Not feeling so hot

This past weekend Crew had a fever and runny nose and we just thought that he was teething and gave him Tylenol to help with it. He just wasn't being himself he even fell asleep sitting next to me which is not normal for him at all. Then on Monday his fever was gone but he broke out in a rash all over his back, tummy, and neck. After doing a little research on the Internet and a diagnosis by Dr. Grandma Jackie we concluded that is was Roseola. The fever, runny nose and the rash are exactly the symptoms of Roseola. It is a herpes virus and is pretty harmless. He doing much better today and the rash is subsiding. hopefully it will be completely gone in the next few days.

I wish we had a better picture but i couldn't get Crew to hold still he wanted to hold the "cheese" that is what he calls the camera. How cute is that?!

Skeet shooting

Yesterday Cody and I went skeet shooting and rode the 4-wheeler with Mindy, Dallas, Brady, and J.C. We had a blast and got sunburned we forgot our camera so these are just off Cody's phone. And Yes I did hit it! We all hit at least one, with the exception of J.C.,he mostly rode the "back truck",that is what he called the 4-wheeler, because it was in the back of the truck. Makes sense to me! J.C.,Brady,and Mindy took a 4-wheeler ride to the waterfall and played in the water. Mindy lost her phone on the ride but don't worry they backtracked and found it. Thanks for the fun day guys.

So Cody and I were at the Target in Saint George and Cody says "I think that guy that just walked past was Pres. Uchtdorf." I say "nuh-uh", so we decide to make a loop around the store to find him. We finally found him in the book section so I nonchalantly walk around and look at the books behind him, and he and, I am guessing it was his wife were speaking German. I wasn't sure at first cause I didn't think it looked enough like him but when we got home we looked at his picture in the Ensign and, yep it had to be him. Crazy huh! We didn't say anything to him because we didn't want to bother him but it was so neat and weird to see him in street clothes. How often do you see a member of the First Presidency in Target.

It's Official, we are moving to Utah. Cody got a job at Diamond Ranch Academy. He will be a mentor to the youth there and He is very excited for the new start. He will have better hours and will not be on commission like he is now. It will be so great to know how much he will be getting each paycheck. We will be there by the First of the May. We are excited to be so close to family and friends. It will be great to have Crew around his Cousins and Grandparents and will be able to get to know them better. We can hardly wait.

Easter Bunny Who? What? oh Candy!

We are so blessed to have this Easter holiday and to be able to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and all that He has done for us. We love him and owe Him everything. I am so thankful that He died for my sins and grateful that I can live with him again someday.

This year was Crew's 2nd Easter but since he was only a few weeks old last year the Easter bunny didn't get him a basket. So this was his first Easter basket. He wasn't sure what to think at first he warmed up to it once he saw the candy. He got lots of candy most of it was for mom and dad but he did get a few dum dum suckers that he can have. He also got some bubbles and he loves them, he has been a whinny lately because of his fever but if you pull out the bubbles he cheers right up. He even thinks they look good enough to eat. It is so funny to watch him go after them with his mouth open like a baby bird.

Okay so I know this post is a little late but, better late than never right!? I found the green shirt and thought it would be perfect for his Birthday. Crew had to go to the Dr. in the morning for his one year old check-up and had to get shots. not the best way to start off your birthday but what can you do. We had a little party at our house that night with some friends from church and some of Cody's Co-workers. Nothing big but FUN. He opened his presents and had a cupcake. I bought a Shamrock cake pan for his cake but, first off I am a horrible baker so i was nervous about it from the start so I was going to make cupcakes and the Cake but of course the cake did not come out of the pan and it was completely ruined. so I had to make even more cupcakes that we didn't even need in the end but oh well. wish you were all here for the party.

While we are in Utah this last weekend we had a little party with all Crew's Fonnesbeck cousins except for the ones in SC (you guys were truly missed, sorry the timing didn't work out.) Grandma and Aunt Mindy took care of the preparation and it turned out great thanks so much you guys. We were so glad to see everyone and especially excited about meeting the newest member to the family Kayden Dallas he is such a doll. It is crazy to think that only one year ago Crew was the same size. He is getting so big. Thanks to Uncle Brady for taking so many fun pictures at the party they are great. We had a great time and miss you all already.

Tonight we are headed to St. George for our vacation. We will be there until Monday night. We are going to see family & friends as well as attend Greg's Wedding. It should be a fun time. So yesterday was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day. It was 74 degrees just a few clouds in the sky. Even though there was some wind, man I couldn't complain. Crew and I ran some errands and then we went for a long walk it was great. Then this morning THIS is what we woke up to.

No Joke I can't believe it the weather guy said it would be in the low 40's and this is what we got. How crazy and disappointing! This is our backyard and yesterday the only snow was along the fence on the left side where the sun dosen't hit.

WHATS GOES ON LATELY

Since our last post Crew has come down with a cold of some sort. He hasn't been feeling good for a few days. Annie took him to the doctor yesterday and the poor little guy has a double ear infection. No wonder he hasn't been himself lately. The Doctor gave him a prescription so hopefully that will help.

Last Saturday we went to my cousin Eric's Wedding. It was in Denver so we got to travel to the big city. It was fun. It was great to get to see family there. The food there was amazing. They even had a whole roasted pig!!!! I had never tried that before and it was quite tasty. They had a DJ there and Crew rocked out to the music.

I guess I will give a shout out to my sister Mindy who gave birth to a healthy handsome baby boy on Monday!!! Congrats to Mindy and Dallas!!! We can't wait to see him next week!!!

Today Cody had the day off and we got to have a nice relaxing day together. We watched a movie, went to lunch, went to Wal*mart,a Fort Morgan hot-spot, then had nice little afternoon naps. I just love spending time with my boys. Today made me remember all the reasons I love them and how blessed I am to have them in my life. Here are a few reasons I love them.
1- Cody married me in the Temple
2- Cody married me even though he knows my flaws and is willing to put up with them.
3- Crew will play happily on the floor for hours and be happy.
4- Crew will stop playing with his toys when I sit on the floor and crawl over and give me hugs. It is the best feeling in the world.
5- Cody can't wait to come home for lunch or get off work to see us.
6- Crew heads straight for the door when he hears Cody's keys in the door.
7- Even though Crew doesn't wave bye-bye he does mouth it. it is too cute.
8- Crew loves to talk on the phone, whenever it rings he starts talking like crazy.
9- Cody likes to say the dinner prayer standing in the kitchen and he always takes me in his arms and hugs me while he prays.
10- When Cody is thinking about something he plays with his hair.
11- Crew is the worlds happiest baby. anywhere we go people always say he is so happy and content. He likes to chill.
12- Crew's big blue eyes.
13- Crew's smile it is usually glued to his face.
14- we are trying to get Crew to limit his Binkie use to bed time and church. so now he has taken to sucking his upper lip. so cute.
15- Cody lets me watch "chick flicks"
16- Cody generally lets me be right.
17- Cody is so smart and so driven he is always learning new things at work and trying to better himself.
18- Cody goes to work so that I can stay home with Crew.

20- Cody wants more children and I am so glad because He is a wonderful Father and our future children deserve to have him as a Father.

It is nice that Valentine's day falls on a Thursday this year. Thursday is my day off so now I get to spend it with Annie and Crew. It is snowing pretty good today here in Fort Morgan. We plan to go to Greeley today for a nice day out in the big city. It'll be nice to go to a city that has chain restaurants and chain stores. While were there Annie and I will have a nice Valentine's Day dinner. She deserves that. She is amazing and I love her.

We put socks over Crew's hands this morning and he loved it. He thought he was so cool. He scooted around with them on like he owned the place. He would freak out if we wanted to take them off. The picture is of Crew that we took with the socks on his hands. Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone.
